It’s the jolliest time of the year! Whether you’re a jolly elf or a big ole Grinch, there are a few activities that will put a smile on everyone’s face this holiday season. Looking for some ideas for a great way to get in the holiday spirit here in Camden? Spend your evening visiting one of these local places that will be sure to make you feel merry!

Holiday Train Display – One typically wouldn’t think of New Jersey’s Battleship Museum and Memorial as a Christmas destination, but they’re adding a new exhibit this year that might get you in the spirit! A new Holiday model train display will be available for museum guests to experience in the Wardroom from Saturday, Dec. 11 through Sunday Dec. 26. This display, courtesy of the South Jersey Garden Railroad Society (SJGRS), will be free to experience with a tour of the Battleship. The Battleship will be open for tours everyday in December, except for December 25.

Holidays in Collingswood – Just ten minutes from your Victor apartment is the quaint town of Collingswood, and every December this festive town goes big for the holidays! Starting in late November you can enjoy tree lightings, caroling, festive holiday decor on every store and corner, holiday light maps so you can see all the best lights in town, and of course, Santa! Collingswood even has it’s own special type of currency that you can give in gift certificates so that your loved ones can use them anywhere in town. You may live in the city here on the Camden waterfront, but you can get the small town Christmas experience just ten minutes away!
