We’ve all grown accustomed to the “cancelled” signs on all of our upcoming Facebook events; however, there’s one event series that is continuing as planned, and it’s a fall favorite! Every September, dozens of restaurants in Center City Philadelphia, all just minutes from your The Victor apartment, open their doors for multi-course, discounted meals as part of Philadelphia Restaurant Week. The series, Sept. 13-25, will include more than 70 participants, many of them among the city’s most award-winning culinary standouts. Some will serve both lunch and dinner options, many will have outdoor dining available and, for the first time, diners can get Restaurant Week meals to go. While the event may look a bit different this year, the taste—and savings!—will be just as outstanding.

With so many mouthwatering participants, it can be hard to figure out your favorite, so why not go with one of the closest to your The Victor apartment? La Famiglia is just 10 minutes over the bridge in Old City Philadelphia, a quick drive or you can even hop a ride on the River Link ferry or PATCO.

La Famiglia is offering multicourse lunch, dinner and takeout. The restaurant features classic Italian dishes, with apps that include plenty of seafood, meats and cheeses, traditional first-course pasta dishes like homemade gnocchi and fettucine, and main dishes including veal, beef, Branzino and lamb. With a name that translates to “Family,” it’s no wonder that the restaurant’s dishes feature recipes straight from the owner’s home cook books, such as “Mama Sena’s original tomato sauce” and “Papa Sena’s original herb pasta sauce.”

Round your meal off with a selection from the extensive Italian wine collection. For Restaurant Week, La Familglia will also offer signature cocktails featuring Maker’s Mark bourbon and Hornitos tequila, both available at the restaurant and to go.
