Just a few minutes’ drive over the bridge (or on the river if you take the ferry!) puts you right into the heart of Center City, brimming with award-winning arts and entertainment—from world-renowned museums to some of the region’s biggest theaters. While a trip into the city to catch a show or an exhibit is a great way to support a love of the arts, there’s also plenty of culture abounding on this side of the Delaware River.

Your The Victor apartment is less than three blocks from the Camden campus of Rutgers University, a bustling educational institution that offers a wide range of degree and certificate programs—but, thankfully, you don’t have to be a student to take advantage of all the exciting offerings on campus. For instance, its College of Arts and Sciences stages a weekly concert series featuring students, faculty and community members.

Each week offers a different genre of music and new talent. In the coming weeks, catch a guitarist, a pianist, a flute quartet, a violinist and more. Concerts are held at lunchtime every Wednesday and are entirely free and open to the public. So if you work from home, have a day off or yourself are taking classes at the school, take advantage of this great outlet to get a little dose of entertainment right near home. The school’s Electric Café series also stages several events each semester to bring new and cutting-edge musical presentations to life.

Theater lovers can also indulge their passions at the school, which offers theatrical productions throughout the school year. Curtains recently closed on “Hamlet,” and next up is comedic musical “Anything Goes.”
